The Venusian Job v1.0

The Venusian Job is my 2400-length homage to heist movies and television, especially Ocean's Eleven, Leverage, and a surprisingly memorable, decade-old trailer for a sci-fi series that never got made. It's also the second map I've ever drawn, so I have to apologize that my cartography skills are still a little rough around the edges.

Rules-wise, this is probably the biggest departure from all the other 2400 games. Most of the series has maintained pretty traditional  inventory system (here's what you've got, now figure out how to make it useful), and a familiar division of "narrative authority" between GM and players (players inhabit their characters, GM handles the rest). The Venusian Job, meanwhile, takes a page from Blades in the Dark and other indie games with a "quantum inventory"—and even some quantum skills!—that players can define during play, and has players write down plot their own plot twists to surprise one another and the GM. I'm usually all for openness and avoiding secrets around the table, but I also really love being surprised in an RPG, so I'm hoping this approach threads that needle.

I put a little "1.0" at the bottom as usual, but this one's got more untested ideas in it than the average 2400 release. Please do send me feedback if you have any.
